Letter from the President
I am truly honored and excited to serve as your ASCE Fort Worth Branch President for the 2026-2027 year. Our Branch continues to thrive because of the dedication, leadership, and engagement of our members, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside such an outstanding community of civil engineering professionals.
First, I would like to thank our Past President, Lindsay Lafferty, for her leadership and commitment to the Branch over the past year. Through the efforts of Lindsay and our dedicated Board members, the Fort Worth Branch has continued to grow and provide valuable professional development, networking opportunities, and meaningful connections for our members. I would also like to recognize and thank the many volunteers who generously dedicate their time and talents to support our programs, events, and outreach efforts. Their contributions are essential to the success of our Branch.
As we begin this new year, our Board has been hard at work planning a variety of activities designed to engage, educate, and connect our membership. We look forward to another great year of monthly luncheon meetings featuring informative and inspiring speakers, as well as networking events, site tours, community involvement opportunities, and our annual joint meeting in the summer. Our goal is to provide meaningful value to our members while fostering professional growth and strengthening relationships throughout the civil engineering community.
The Fort Worth Branch has a strong tradition of service, leadership, and professional excellence. As our profession continues to evolve and address new challenges, I encourage each of you to stay involved, share your expertise, and take advantage of the many opportunities ASCE provides. Whether you are a student, younger member, early-career professional, or seasoned engineer, your participation helps make our Branch stronger.
I am optimistic about the future of the Fort Worth Branch and excited about what we can accomplish together this year. I encourage you to attend our meetings and events, connect with fellow members, and consider volunteering for one of our committees or activities. Your ideas, feedback, and involvement are always welcome.
Thank you for your continued support of the ASCE Fort Worth Branch. I look forward to seeing you throughout the year and working together to advance our profession and serve our community.
Sincerely,
Colton Fisher, PE, RAS, ENV SP
